Sister City Exchange 2012

Applications are currently being invited from Queanbeyan students and residents interested in participating in the 2012 exchange which will visit Minami Alps departing 23 September and returning 2 October 2012.

Applications are open to Queanbeyan students aged between 14 and 17 and a delegation of 10-13 students is sought.  Additionally, 2-3 chaperones are required to take part in the exchange.

Community Climate Change Action Plan

Council is developing a Community Climate Change Action Plan to assist the community and Council in working together to address climate change issues and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Community consultation recently took place and the results of a survey can be viewed here. The Draft Community Climate Change Action Plan will be released in the upcoming months and put on exhibition.
