Council and Committees
Queanbeyan City Council meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except December) commencing at 5.30pm in the Council Chambers, 253 Crawford St Queanbeyan. The Council welcomes the public to attend its Ordinary Meetings. Deputations and representations are received between 5.30pm-6pm at Ordinary or Extraordinary meetings on any matter listed on the agenda for the meeting.
Council has in place two Statutory Committees consisting of the Planning & Development Review Committee and the Local Traffic Committee and a range of Advisory Committees (see diagram below).
The Planning & Development Review Committee which assess under delegation from Council all development applications and planning issues is open to the public and meets on the second Wednesday of each month (except January). Its meetings commence at 5.30pm in the Council Chambers.
Council and Planning & Development Review Committee meeting dates are publicly advertised in local newspapers and can also be obtained from Council’s website and Customer Service Centre. Copies of agendas and minutes for those meetings are available on Council’s website.
