Stallholders sought for inaugural Queanbeyan Christmas in July Fair

Queanbeyan City Council is calling on interested stallholders to apply for a site for the inaugural Queanbeyan Christmas in July Fair – the region’s only annual Christmas-themed market day.

The Fair has been developed on the back of the successful Christmas in July Markets that have been held previously at The Q. The markets have been expanded to include the Christmas Fair and will now be held at the Queanbeyan Showground on Sunday 24 July.

“The annual Christmas in July Markets have been very successful and we are very keen to expand the event and have developed the Queanbeyan Christmas Fair,” Council’s Cultural Development Officer Georgina Perri said.

“The Christmas Fair will feature all of your favourite Christmas-inspired foods and treats, along with markets which will feature regionally-based makers and producers.”

Local and regional artists, craftspeople, cooks, community groups and charitable organisations are all encouraged to apply for a stall site. Please be aware this market does not support on-selling of mass produced goods, it is about supporting the local produced and hand crafted. Places are limited!

The Queanbeyan Christmas Fair will be held on Sunday 24 July 2016 from 10am-3pm. To apply for a stallholder site see online applications here www.qcc.nsw.gov.au/christmasfair2016 or contact Cultural Services at Queanbeyan City Council on 6285 6170 or email cultural.services@qcc.nsw.gov.au
