New-look Q-One Indoor Sports Centre to be launched with open day on 30 April

Queanbeyan City Council will officially relaunch the Q-One Indoor Sports Centre with a community open day on Saturday 30 April from 9am - 12pm.

The centre has undergone renovations over the past month to allow it to provide a wider range of sports and activities that will appeal to all sections of the community.

“This is a very exciting time for the Q-One Indoor Sports Centre and the Queanbeyan community. To celebrate we will be holding a community open day on 30 April which will allow users to come along and try out our new activities and programs and sign up to participate,” Council’s Manager Community Business, Mr Daniel Fulton said.

“The upgrades to the court surface and netting will enhance a number of sports currently on offer at the centre and will see entertainment activities include bubble football, archery tag, inflatables and birthday parties become available, along with specialised programs for young children and seniors

“The changes to the Q-One Indoor Sports Centre will allow it to be much more profitable and will reduce the impact that the centre has had on Council’s budget in previous years”

The Queanbeyan Indoor Sports Centre, which is a Council-owned asset, was previously managed by a private company until September 2014 when Council assumed management of the facility.
