ClubGrants funding assistance for local community organisations available

29 March 2016
Queanbeyan Mayor, Cr Tim Overall is encouraging Queanbeyan community organisations to apply for funding under the 2016 ClubGrants Category 1 scheme.

Each year the scheme provides financial support to a range of community organisations and is funded via local licensed clubs including, the Queanbeyan Leagues Club, the Kangaroos Rugby League Football Club and the Queanbeyan Tigers Australian Rules Football Club.

“The ClubGrants scheme has delivered some very valuable funding to Queanbeyan community groups over the past few years and I encourage any community group that has a project or initiative that meets the criteria to apply,” Cr Overall said.

“In applying for funding assistance, community groups should highlight a project or initiative that contributes to meeting the aspirations of the community, including supporting a range of diverse groups in Queanbeyan.

“Last year it was wonderful to see such a diverse range of projects such as Emergency Relief, Family Kindy Gym, Youth Suicide Prevention Training, and Meals on Wheels Recognition of Volunteers.”

Applications will be received online from 1 April using the ClubsNSW website:
