Queanbeyan Cultural Plan
Queanbeyan has a proud tradition, heritage and culture. The City has grown into a thriving, vibrant community, a place where things happen and a place to be appreciated.
Queanbeyan City Council has developed a Cultural Plan which outlines strategies for cultural development of the City in response to the needs identified by residents.
The strategies in the plan may be implemented by Council, by other organisations, by the community or through partnerships.
This Plan is a living document which will change as our understanding of the people who live in the community evolves. This will occur through ongoing discussions with the community, sharing knowledge and experiences and will lead to more innovative Council policies and programs.
The updated Queanbeyan Cultural Plan for 2011-2013 provides a framework for supporting and developing culture and the arts in Queanbeyan and for identifying the cultural priorities for the city into the future.
