Cultural Development

Queanbeyan City Council established the Cultural Development Council as a means to progress the implementation of the Queanbeyan Cultural Plan, and to advise and recommend on ways to action the Cultural Plan strategies that will optimise the benefits of cultural development and planning for the City.

The membership of the Cultural Development Council is made up of representatives from the broad cultural and arts community in Queanbeyan, including representatives for the visual and performing arts, music, creative writing, history and heritage, multicultural, Aboriginal, arts education, youth and new media. 

Cr Peter Bray is the Chair of the Cultural Development Council and the Cultural Council meets every 3 months.
