Queanbeyan Development Board
The Queanbeyan Development Board aims to help to make the city a better place to live, work, visit and invest and since its first meeting in May 2009, the members of the board have set the wheels in motion to achieve its principle role of being an advocate for economic growth for the Queanbeyan region.
Members of the Queanbeyan Development Board (QDB) include:

- Councillor Trudy Taylor
- Gary Chapman, Queanbeyan City Council General Manager
- Neil Kennedy, Queanbeyan Business Council representative
- Sue Whelan, Capital Region BEC representation
- Allan Carpenter, community representative
- Josephine Cornell, community representative
- Simone Reading, community representative
One of the Board’s initial projects was to develop strategies which will lay the foundations for future activities. Some of the issues already identified include supporting the revitalisation of Queanbeyan’s city centre and gateways into Queanbeyan and promoting Queanbeyan for business investment and development.
