Walkways and Cycleways

Queanbeyan is a great city if you like outdoor activities. Walking or cycling around town is a great way to become familiar with your town. If you are really keen you can link up with the cycleways which go all the way in to Canberra. You can download a Canberra and Queanbeyan Cycling and Walking Map from the ACT government website here. You can also pick up one of the cycleway maps from the Customer Service area at 257 Crawford Street. If you prefer your exercise to be a bit more on the gentle side there is some information below on local walks you can undertake.

These walks range in length from 4kms to 10kms and offer you the opportunity to experience the wonderful cityscapes Queanbeyan has to offer. These are by no means the only walks available. Walking is an exercise which needs no prepared course - you can walk around all the streets of Queanbeyan and explore the beauty of our suburbs and parks.

Council has developed some walking brochures which provide maps and some information on some great walking routes around the local area. Please click on the images below to download the brochures. Hard copies are available from Council's Customer Service Centre at 257 Crawford St.
