While Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council maintains its water and sewer network, it has an agreement with Icon Water to purchase potable water for the Queanbeyan area. Queanbeyan’s water supply is sourced primarily from the Cotter system and supplemented by supplies from Googong Dam, which is located in NSW but owned by the ACT Government.

Council manages different types of water to protect public health and the environment. It makes sure the quality of water supplied to you remains high through many quality monitoring programs.  For supply issues that are not within your property boundaries, you can contact the Queanbeyan office on 02 6285 6000 Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.  Outside these hours, you can contact the after hours emergency number on 02 6298 1234.  Additionally, you can report problems online by clicking this link
