Heather McKay Indoor Sports Centre

New Indoor Sports CentreThe Heather McKay Indoor Sports Centre is open for competition.

Operators of the Indoor Sports Centre, Berg Management Services, are currently running indoor cricket, netball, soccer, dodgeball and trisports competitions and are encouraging interested individuals or teams to register by visiting http://www.niccweb.com or phoning 6297 7435.

The indoor sports complex has two multi-purpose indoor sports courts, spectator viewing areas and a kiosk with outdoor seating.  They foyer of the complex has also become the new home of the Queanbeyan Sporting Hall of Fame which was previously housed in the Queanbeyan Conference Centre.

The centre was officially opened by the Hon Dr Mike Kelly, Federal Member for Eden-Monaro and Heather McKay on 12 July 2011. At the opening the new Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery was also unveiled with a number of fresh faces inducted into the Gallery.

The Indoor Sports Centre was funded by the Federal Government’s Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program.
