Reconciliation Walk

Queanbeyan City Council is a major supporter of Reconciliation. Each year Council holds a Reconciliation Walk which sees students from local schools, Aboriginal elders, Councillors and community members walk from the Queens Bridge at Trinculo Place to the newly-developed Reconciliation Garden in Queanbeyan Park.

The Reconciliation Walk is held during National Reconciliation Week (NRW). NRW offers people across Australia the opportunity to focus on reconciliation and to hear about the history of Australia’s Indigenous people.

NRW is usually held towards the end of May, start of June and is advertised by Council in the lead up. For more information on the event phone Council's Family Services and Community Development section on 6285 6263.
