Washing Machines
NOTE: Department of Environment & Climate Change NSW no longer offers a $150 rebate for 5 star WELS rated washing machines. Any washing machines purchased after 30 June 2010 will not be eligible for the $150 rebate.
As of 19 March 2008 Council will no longer be offering a rebate for the purchase of the Front Loader Combination Dryer because after investigation it was found that the combination machines are rated on the washing machine component only, which can provide 4 or 5 star efficiency. These units are not however rated on the drying component which are very inefficient and can use more water on the drying cycle than the washing cycle.
A rebate of $200 will be offered on the purchase of a new 4 or 5 Star WELS Rating front loading washing machine purchased from 6 April 2005 or any new 4 or 5 Star WELS Rating Top Loader purchased from 1 May 2007.

Please provide a copy of the receipt for the purchase of the washing machine showing the brand, model and model number of the machine and attach with the application form (below)

To be installed in a premises connected to the Queanbeyan City Council Water/Sewer supply
