Sustainability Collection

New collection now available in the library!

'Sustaining our Towns' is a project to help reduce the ecological footprints of individuals, homes, businesses and communities in thirteen Council areas across South Eastern NSW. The project is co-ordinated by SERRROC in partnership with Clean Energy for Eternity, the Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority and the thirteen SERRROC Councils.

The Home Sustainability Kits are designed as a DIY guide for your home, to help you assess how you could be more energy, water and waste efficient room by room, step by step. The kit includes a power usage meter, which can help determine how much power appliances in your home are really using and costing you to run, As well as a non-contact infrared thermometer to help you assess the surface temperature of appliances. Everything from tips on how to understand your bills, to recommendations on how to heat and cool your house more effectively – all you need to know is at your fingertips. Sustaining our Towns has also purchased the latest sustainability books, magazines and DVDs for libraries.
