Keeping of Animals

Some animals are not allowed to be kept in certain areas of Queanbeyan others are allowed but might be limited in number:

• Roosters (not allowed in urban areas of Queanbeyan)
• Bees (not allowed in urban areas of Queanbeyan)
• Pigeons (limited numbers allowed).

The policy limits/prohibits certain animals to minimise nuisances, protect wildlife and safeguard the environment

Before buying your new pet first check you can properly care for it then if it is an unusual pet check the policy to see if there are any controls on keeping it in Queanbeyan.

Dogs and cats need to be micro-chipped and registered
