Queanbeyan and District Dementia Respite

This service provides flexible regular and on-going in-home respite to carers of people who have dementia. The service can be accessed by Carers of people with dementia residing in Queanbeyan, Bungendore, Braidwood, Yass, Gunning & Crookwell Areas. This service can be used in addition to other services such as Home Care and Community Aged Care Packages.

Caring for someone 24 hours a day can be physically and emotionally tiring and stressful. Therefore it is essential to have regular breaks to relax and rest, take up a hobby or attend to business. Clients are assessed on their individual needs by the Program Coordinator in the home.
