Day Programs
Tuesday centre-based day program
For frail aged persons over 65 living with short-term memory loss and/or early onset dementia who reside in the Queanbeyan region. This centre-based program provides social and recreational opportunities designed to meet the individual needs and to assist independence.

The group meets at Aged and Disability Services Centre, at the rear of 257 Crawford St Queanbeyan on Tuesdays 9.30am-1.30pm.

Transport is provided to and from the group (at a minimal cost).

Morning tea and lunch are provided (inclusive in the centre-based fee).

Clients are encouraged to participate in a varied program of activities and outings with an emphasis on maintaining independence.

An assessment is conducted to determine eligibility.
Wednesday Men’s Social Group
For gentlemen over 65 who require opportunities to participate in social interaction and who reside within the Queanbeyan area. This program provides social opportunities designed to assist active community participation for those who have difficulty accessing social groups.

The group travels on a Community Transport bus to various venues throughout Queanbeyan, Canberra and surrounding areas.

The bus picks up and drops off group members from their homes. There is a minimal fee for transport.

Lunch is available at venues on the outings and cost is at the individuals expense.

Independence is promoted and maintained within the group.

An assessment is conducted to determine eligibility.

Group times vary dependant on location of venue - usually 10am to 3.30pm.
Friday Bungendore Social Group
For frail aged men and women over 65 who require opportunities to participate in social interaction and who reside within the Bungendore area. This program provides social opportunities designed to assist active community participation for those who have difficulty accessing social groups.

The group travels on a Community Transport bus to various venues and places of interest throughout Queanbeyan, Canberra and surrounding areas.

The bus picks up and drops off group members from their homes. There is a minimal fee for transport.

Coffee Club
For persons over 65 who require opportunities to participate in social interaction and who reside within the Queanbeyan and surrounding areas. This is a friendly informal social get together held every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at a local cafe between 2pm to 3.30pm.
