Aged Services

Aged Services staff can talk to elderly people and their families and friends in their own homes, over the telephone or in the office. They can provide the following:

  • Information about a range of available community services and support
  • Assessment of needs
  • Referral to services including community transport, day programs, social support, home care, vital call, shopping and social outings
  • Advocacy
  • Help with coordinating services
  • Short term support, particularly at difficult times.

The Aged Services Team also aims to meet the specific needs of people from culturally diverse backgrounds. Interpreters are used when necessary to assist with language difficulties.
